His Excellency, Dr. Rumaih bin Mohammed Al-Rumaih, Internal President of Transport General Authority, visited the bus terminals of the intercity transport service operated by the collective mobility division of Moventia, Moventis, on 2 April.
Accompanied by members of his entourage, the leader paid a visit to the stations in Jeddah and Jarul, in central Mecca, to learn about the transport service being provided by Moventis, the company responsible for meeting travel demands in the most important cities on the Arabian peninsula.
On board one of the vehicles, the Internal President of Transport General Authority gained first-hand experience of the intercity service that connects Jeddah with the main city of Mecca, this being one of the most popular bus lines among pilgrims travelling to the holy city. The collective mobility division owned by Moventia is the company that, in partnership with the Saudi bus operator, Al Qaid, was awarded the contract to manage the intercity bus service in the north-west region of the Arabian peninsula, connecting Jeddah to such major cities as Mecca, Riyadh and Medina.
The visit by this leader was a great opportunity to further strengthen ties between Moventis and the local transport authority. Furthermore, the meeting proved fruitful in defining a common roadmap capable of further promoting safety and quality in the service provided in Saudi cities.
