The Minister for Transport and Logistics Services of Saudi Arabia, Saleh Al-Jasser, paid an important visit in May to the intercity transport service being operated by Moventis as part of the Northwest Bus consortium.
Accompanied by a delegation from the consortium and other Saudi politicians, the government representative was shown around the installations of the intercity transport system in the city of Medina.
The visit not only highlighted the importance of this transport service for the region but also the commitment from Moventis and the consortium to service excellence and quality in Saudi Arabia. Minister Al-Jasser saw the effort and dedication shown by the team in operating the new intercity transport service, which seeks to improve mobility and connectivity in the region.
Recent arrival in Saudi Arabia
This milestone follows the recent launch of this intercity transport service in Saudi Arabia as part of the efforts by Moventis to expand its international business and contribute to the development of high-quality transport infrastructures around the world.
The collective mobility division of Moventia reaffirmed its position as the international operator with the strongest presence in Saudi Arabia in November 2023 with the launch of a service for the next ten years. More specifically, Northwest Bus covers 60 cities throughout the north-west region, including Jeddah and the Red Sea corridor, with branches connecting such major cities as Mecca, Medina and the capital, Riyadh.
