On Friday 10 May, the headquarters of Moventia hosted a unique and enriching experience. Professionals from all over the company gathered to hear José Coronado, wheelchair tennis player and Director of the TRAM Barcelona Open, tell his inspiring story of overcoming adversity and perseverance.
The talk began with a warm welcome from the Corporate Vice-President for Internal and Institutional Communication at Moventia, Sílvia Martí Escursell, who explained the ties between Moventia and the TRAM Barcelona Open as well as the Moventia Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) strategy, highlighting its commitment to creating social value as a core part of the company.
Following this introduction, José Coronado gave a generous and passionate 40-minute talk. He shared his personal experience of overcoming adversity and effort, emphasising the importance of perseverance and attitude as skills that let you escape the specific limits and barriers that someone in a similar situation might face.
He also spoke about the TRAM Barcelona Open and highlighted the importance of this tournament as a platform for inclusion and raising the profile of wheelchair athletes.
